should be as perfeet and appropriate to the face as possible. Avoid making the areh very high in the middle, fading to nothing- ness at the outer edge, lest your mouth look as though it was in a continuous "pusker". But also avoid moving the thick part of the upper lip tee far to the outside, because the curve down to the corner of the mouth will be tee sharp and give a terrible "droop" to the appearance. This is particularly important on faces that have prominent "nese braces", these skin folds run- ning along the edge of the cheek from the nose to the corners of the mouth. These are already downward lines and to sharply curving lips accentuate this "down at the mouth" appearance. Seek instead a modest dip in the middle with the highest point about 1/3 the way from the center to the edge. If mouth still seems to droop, try reversing the curve just at the corners to give a slight upward turn.
Nails and Nail Polish--By no means all women wear the long pointed elaw-like nails that one sometimes sees. It isn't the length that counts but the neatness. Nails kept just slightly longer than the usual masculine length can be given a slightly "pointy" appearance for special occasions and be quite feminine for that time. Soaking the ends of the fingers in warm soapy water for five minutes, or using some cuticle softener, the thin line of adherent skin around the base of the nail can be trimmed away and a neater appearanes achieved. The application of a clear base seat before applying the color coat will help the polish itself to adhere more firmly and resist chipping. After applying the color coat and allowing it to dry, a sealer may be used which makes the seating harder and more glossy. Nail Polish eolors, of course, should be in some nice red red with a switch to the bluer or more orange tones if the dress color calls for them. Avoid the extremes of gold, silver, black blue and other wild shades. They always attract attention even when worn by young girls trying to look sophisticated, but on an impersonator, they will be even more out of place.
Lotions and Cremes--There is a whole battery of cosmeties pro- moted for women, and while many of them fall for them; few of the products do any real good in anything other than the pay- •hological sense. For the male skin, about all that could be recommended that will help in any way is a good moisturising
